How Does Membership Work?
There are two membership options available:
To join the Council, either in conjunction with CGP or the local Northern California council only, please visit the CGP website using the “Join/Renew Online” button. |

Local Council (NCPGC) Benefits
The Northern California Planned Giving Council sponsors several educational events each year. Members receive discounted registration to all programs – including the Annual Conference. There are frequent networking opportunities with other gift planners and allied professionals at luncheon meetings and the annual conference. National Association (CGP) Benefits
The National Association of Charitable Gift Planners (CGP) (formerly the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning/PPP), comprises more than 100 local councils. Read about CGP benefits at Why Join CGP for details.

- Four luncheon meetings each year with speakers addressing a wide variety of topics affecting charitable gift planners. Meetings are held in San Francisco in January, March, September and November – usually on the third Thursday of the month. ($15.00 member discount)
- Four Planning in Practice (PIP) Programs for those of all experience levels. Programs are held before each luncheon meeting. ($15.00 member discount)
- Heidi Strassburger Masters Program for advanced gift planning professionals. ($15.00 member discount)
- Planned Giving Basics Course – a six-part basics course which includes 15 hours of instruction from experienced planned giving practitioners in the Bay Area. ($50.00 member discount)
- Annual Planned Giving Conference offering five tracks including advanced, intermediate, and fundamental levels, and featuring nationally-known speakers. The Conference is usually held in the Spring. ($50.00 member discount)
- The Council also encourages participation on committees including government and community relations.
