Tax Change Affecting Estate & Charitable Planning

Tax Change Affecting Estate & Charitable Planning
Program Description: This presentation will discuss the more significant tax proposals that will affect estate planning and charitable giving. It will cover proposals to increase estate and income taxes and how individuals can best plan for themselves, their families and their favorite charities. Perhaps, the most significant change would be gain recognition on property transferred by gift or at death. If that occurs, charitable remainder trusts will become much more common. However, other recent tax changes also should result in a greater use of charitable remainder trusts.
